Bunt
What is bunt in baseball?

What is the aim of bunt?
The bunt is a baseball batting technique. According to official rules, it’s intentional ball contact with the bat then tapped slowly in the direction of the infield. The proper reaction on the bunt is the difficult defensive play by infielders.
The bunt aims to ground the ball in the fair territory but as far as possible from the fielders. It requires a lot of knowledge like the pitcher’s most likely pitches, positions of fielders and their relation to the baserunners. This task is physically difficult. It’s impossible to perform it without dexterity or concentration. The batter usually squares up to release the bunt. It turns the body towards the pitcher with the hand sliding up the bat’s barrel to help steady it. However, sometimes it may retract the bat with further full swing.
There are three types of bunts available. The sacrifice punt signals about advancing threat. Batters do so to advance a runner. If the player wants to reach the base safely, it uses a bunt for a base hit. The swinging bunt happens when the poor hit ball rolls.
There are special rules for the bunt. Batters and pitchers must release it in the flight. When the bunt is foul but the players fail to catch it, the judges consider it a strike. If the batter truly bunts with repetitive contact by its bat, the ball is dead. Any play will stop.
