Draw
What is draw in baseball?
Can the game end with the tie?
What changed in 2007 concerning the suspended game?
The draw or tie is the identical or inconclusive result. It’s rare in modern baseball due to the tradition of extra innings, which determine the winner. Most drawn games are called because of weather or the teams used all possible pitchers.
In the MLB, the ties happened due to weather or darkness. Now, most venues have artificial lighting. Some games that lasted 5 or fewer innings did not count into the standing. The games which stopped due to darkness were replayed since start, but this situation had changed in 2007 when the game continued from the inning which suspended it. Japan’s leagues endure only 12 innings – nine regular and three extra are possible there.
America’s college baseball has the curfew time required for the away team to reach home to attend the classes. In case, if the game reaches that limit, the umpires can call the game tied, if the score is even.
