Flow
What is flow in baseball?
The flow means the scenario of the game. It includes various elements like basic and variation. The game starts in the first inning and lasts till the ninth inning. Each inning consists of two halves – top and bottom, continuing to three outs of the batter. The visiting team is batting in the top while hosts do that in the bottom.
Some moments would consider boring there. The pitcher throws pitches, the catcher tries to catch the ball struggling with the batter trying to hit the ball. That struggle raises the interest. Any success starts the unique play leading to out the runners or stealing the bases. These elements are variations of the game flow. They often become spectacular. Batting order, designated hitter rule, schemes and fielder’s ability to field the ball change the flow.
