What is flyball in baseball?
How does the infield fly rule work?
The flyball is the arcing batted ball. Players deal with it in the arcing point before it hits the ground. An infield fly rule touches them. It means the batter goes out when the ball covers the short straight line distance in a high trajectory and at least two bases are occupied. The fact of the fielder’s catch fail doesn’t matter.
