Plantar fasciitis
The plantar fasciitis is the common reason for the heel pain of baseball players. It happens when the band joining the tissue to the foot inflates. This problem instantly makes any movement difficult. Interestingly, the first steps in the morning may be a nightmare, but then the pain disappears when you continue to move. But after long sitting periods, it may return.
Risk factors of the plantar fascillis
The highest risk of the disease comes at the age of 40+. But if we consider the baseball players’ physical strains, they’re very excessive because they need to run between bases. Another factor is pregnancy, which is typical for softballers as this is primarily the female game. However, masculine players must control their weight, too, because it pressures the feet and increases strain on the body. However, the flat feet or high arches there also develop the problem.
