Short rest

In professional baseball, a short rest is usually the little time between innings or pitching changes. I may pause at this point to refuel, recover my breath, and get some brief advice or direction from my coach. It’s an opportunity to regroup and concentrate before taking to the field and starting play again. But given the game never stops and action might pick up again at any point, it’s crucial to make the most of this opportunity.
