Cleats

The cleat is a protrusion on an athlete’s shoes to improve traction on a soft or slip surface. They can choose cleats made from rubber, metal or plastic. The item’s shape is usually a blade.

Joseph Pipal, the famous multi-sport coach, adopted them to American football realities at the beginning of the 20th century. The first cleat manufacturers are still in business and develop their production. Together with new brands they offer removable and molded models for different ground types.
