What does deep comeback route mean in the American football?
Where is deep comeback route used?
Deep comeback route is an attack scheme which causes difficulties for defenders.
This pattern requires the cornerback to create separation at the cut point of selling a go route. The receiver should establish the outside release first. Then it moves vertically 10 or 15 yards to sell the route. The last stage is a sudden throttle in quarterback’s direction to separate it from its defenders.
