Draft choice

Each team has seven obligatory picks or choices in the4 draft – one per round. The team’s representatives see the table with the names of the players. After consultations with the executives at the club headquarters, they call the Selection Square where the head of the delegation writes the name of the interested performer and brings that card to the NFL staff member or the runner.

When the runner gets the card, it resets the clock for the next choice, except for the last round. The second runner comes to the representative of the next up team and informs it who was just chosen. Its colleague radios the decision to NFL personnel members eligible to put the player’s status into the database visible to all clubs. The card comes to the league vice president, who checks the information for accuracy. The vice president contacts the commissioner and broadcasters, publicly announcing the selection.

The round continues till the last season’s Super Bowl owner makes their choice. Sometimes the team gets the compensatory picks to find substitutes for the free agents’ positions. They follow after the obligatory picks.
