Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the youngest franchises in the NFL. Its history lasts from 1993. The team competes in the AFC South division.
Despite the long experience, the Jaguars have zero championship titles. Their best achievement is the Divisional playoffs. In the 1999 season, they qualified for the AFC Championship but lost the game to Tennessee Titans. That was their last playoff participation before the NFL ceased the Central Division in the conference structure. Their next appearance as the South member was in 2005, but they failed to win the Wild Card playoff game. The AFC Championship game happened again in 2017, but fail again.
The team from Jacksonville has only divisional rivals, including Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans and Tennessee Texans. Of course, the team has interdivisional rivalries, but then repeat once in three or four years, and the fans have less interest in them even if we consider the local Florida derby with the Dolphins.
The young team has a single retired number. It’s the pioneer of the team, offensive tackle Tony Boselli with number 71. The Weaver family, who owned the club and some other players, form the pride of the Jaguars.
The Jaguars have their mascot and cheerleading group. Jaxson de Ville entertains the people in the stadium during the games. Sometimes the manner of the mascot’s conduct impacts the rules for all mascots.
Jacksonville Roar is the corporate marching band. It follows the games and participates in various events from community to charity.
