Power
The power has many variations in the American football context. It may be the running play used by many offensive formations. It supposes to use two running backs. The fullback is the lead blocker, accompanied by an offensive guard on the backside. FB should knock over the outside linebacker or defensive end while the guard leads through the guard/tackle hole to block the remaining LBs.
The power is also mentioned in some formations. For example, the vertical Power I. This formation includes the third RB instead of the wide receiver. The extra player acts from the back of the fullback performer.
Some statistical parameters are also built on power. The portals estimate the team’s power based on its offensive and defensive results, scoring, etc. Some specialists calculate the kick power for special teams. And don’t forget that an electric power outage often delays the game.
