Second forward pass

According to the rulebook, the team can execute only one forward pass in the play, while the lateral passes are unlimited. If somebody performs the second forward pass during the same episode, it will bring a 5-yard penalty to its team. It also resets the down. Besides, the forward pass is legal if the quarterback releases it before it crosses the line of scrimmage.

This penalty is reviewable due to the risk of an accidental attempt. The players can throw it instead of lateral or if a part of the performers considered the play as rushing.
