The Turk
Who is the Turk in gridiron?
Why do the players aware of the Turk?
The Turk is the coach’s helper in the gridiron. Its task is to track the candidates for signing and inform the manager about that. This man or woman also informs the player that the coach wants to meet and interview it. No player wants to hear the words that the coach wants to see it with its playbooks.
The Turk’s synonym is Squeaky Shoes. The 1950s players remember that they heard the helper’s shoes squeaking in the training camp halls. Some coaches sent these people in the middle of the night to wake the rejected players. Its current name appeared in Los Angeles in the 1950s. This job is often disrespectful as the players don’t know their future in the team’s roster.
