What characterizes the equaliser in football?
Equaliser is a term used in soccer to describe the goal that ties up the match. For instance, if a Team One is losing 2-1 and scores a goal against Team Two to make the score 2-2, then Team One’s goal can be referred to as the “equaliser”.
The term equaliser is most commonly used in Commonwealth English, however, it is used in other dialects as well.
