What does “Push and run” stand for?
The term “Push-and-run”, also known as a one-two, a wall pass or a give-and-go, is a football tactic that is used to define a move that involves the quick laying the ball off to a teammate and then running past the marker to collect the return pass form the teammate. This trick was first developed by Arthur Rowe, the manager of the English club Tottenham Hotspur from 1949. This is now a commonplace tactic used in football matches but is as much effective now as it was when it was first introduced into the game of football.
