Children’s Mercy Park is a football stadium in Kansas City, Kansas, USA and is home to Sporting Kansas City. The stadium is located near the Kansas Speedway, and it opened in the 2011 Premier League football season on June 9, 2011 with the Chicago Fire. The stadium has 18,467 seats, which can be expanded to 25,000 for concerts. Most SKC games attract about 21,000 due to the different stadium modes.

The stadium is Sporting Kansas City’s third home site; then known as Kansas City Wizards, the team played at Arrowhead Stadium from 1996 to 2007 and at the CommunityAmerica Ballpark from 2008 to 2010. In 2013, the stadium hosted the MLS All-Star Game, the US men’s national football team and the MLS. The Cup, three of the most prestigious matches in the United States, is the only stadium to host all three in the same year.

Field Club

The field club in the Children’s Mercy Park consists of eight sections, located on the field level. Sections 1-4 are located to the left of the visitors bench, and 5-8 to the right of the Sporting KC bench. These places offer best-in-class intimacy and amenities for a football game.

Special Notes

All parking spaces will be open 3 hours before the start of the game and will close 2 hours after the game (cars will be towed to the Red lot if they are still parked after closing). Trailers, campers, buses, vans or any other vehicle that is considered too large to take up one parking space will not be allowed to park in orange areas. When you enter State Avenue and 110th, the parking attendant will direct you to a section that matches the size of your car. Tailgating in all batches of general admission is welcomed; however, your car can only occupy one parking space.

Information about the transfer:

The most enduring Sporting fans are known as Kotel, the only group that has joined the team since they were known as Wizards (i.e., nickname). The Cauldron has a special section of seats on the north end of the Sports Park. I would not say that this part of the stadium is not for children, but beer and profanity can very easily spill out of a participant’s mouth at any moment.

Sports Park has several options for a less noisy crowd. The west side of the stadium is more family friendly, although most of the seats are reserved for season ticket holders. Above these places are several luxury boxes, mostly owned by local companies, as well as the Victory Suite in the corner, a large private area reserved for each game for the family and friends of one lucky KC. Around the hall there are several dining tables in the open air, which can be booked and purchased in groups.These places are all-is-equipped and have private attendants.

History

Initial planning

Originally, Sporting Club, a group of owners of the team, planned to move to southeastern Kansas City, Missouri, to the land previously occupied by Banni ster Mall.
