Dinamo Stadium (Minsk)

Dinamo National Olympic Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Minsk, Belarus. It was recently opened after a large-scale reconstruction project. Previously, it was used mainly for football matches and was the birthplace of Dinamo Minsk, FC Minsk and the Belarus national football team. Previously, the stadium officially occupied 40,000, but since part of the upper platform was abandoned in the mid-1990s for safety reasons, the actual capacity before the reconstruction was only 34,000. After the reconstruction, the capacity is 22,246 people.

Dinamo Stadium Seating Plan

At the Dinamo stadium in Minsk in 2014–2018, another reconstruction took place. Given the outstanding successes of the Belarusian BATE club and learning about the imminent start of the reconstruction, many football fans expected that after the activities of construction organizations the stadium would look more “football”, but the treadmills did not disappear — today they make it difficult to watch sports events in the arena.

It is unlikely that it will come as a surprise to anyone that it is best to choose places in central places at athletics facilities. Dinamo is generally divided into 4 stands and 30 sectors. The best overview of what is happening in the bowl of the sports arena opens from the central sectors C20-C22, A4-A6. It is here that it is recommended to buy tickets — this must be done in different ways, because these seats are under the visor. Previously, only a small part of the audience was under the roof, after the reconstruction there were not many places where, in case of bad weather, the spectators would not have been protected, but there were some (mainly outside the gates).

Where to buy tickets?

You can buy tickets for Dinamo in several ways at once. It is noteworthy that in regional centers and the largest cities of the Republic of Belarus, online sales through the websites of major national operators almost completely blocked the right to attend football matches, other sporting events and concerts through the box office.

No, you can buy a ticket to the national stadium at its box office, but keep in mind that in this case, the arena’s outlets open a few days before the event or even directly on the day of the event. As you know, the tickets sold to them are far from the best places.

But buying a ticket with a good review is best on the websites kvitki.by or ticketpro.by. On the first site in the header in the “search” section, you must enter the phrase “Dinamo National Stadium” and you will see a complete list of events for which tickets are sold on the Internet.

However, due to the availability of more payment methods, ticketpro is a more universal and popular platform. Here, however, it is not so easy to find the events taking place in Dinamo, if you clearly do not know about them. When to start? At the top of the site, next to the logo of the site, there is a tab “Venues”. In the pop-up field, select “Minsk” in the “Location”, “Sports” or “Concerts” field in the “Event Category” field. In the list of objects you need to find the Dinamo National Olympic Stadium by clicking on the word “more”, you will be taken to the arena page, where “events on the spot” are listed below.

Having selected the object you are interested in, hover over the event and click on “Buy Ticket”. After that, you will see a diagram of the stadium with sectors. You can enlarge it and select a specific sector, row and location. Next, the system will prompt you to log in (initially you need to register on the site, but you can do without it — in this situation you will need to specify a little more personal data). By clicking on the place you like, click on the “Place an order” button. You will have 10 minutes to pay. You can pay the cost of entrance tickets using bank cards, the Republican ERIP payment system, iPay service (money will be debited from your mobile phone account), Qiwi wallet, Belgazprombank card, as well as using the Halva installment card from MTBank.

After the payment is successfully completed, you will see an electronic ticket either in your account on the Ticketpro.by website or in your inbox. It is advisable to print and take a ticket to the stadium with you, but you can restrict yourself to a simple download to your mobile phone, and then present a screenshot to the cashier manager at Dinamo.

We invite season ticket holders to take places in the central sector C21, rows from 14 to 24.

We draw your attention when buying tickets — the second row of the stands of the stadium starts from the 18th row.

Discount tickets are available for:

  • pupils and students;
  • members of the public association “FC Dinamo-Minsk Fan Club”;
  • fans over 60;
  • veterans of labor and combat actions, fans with.

Children under 6 years old are accompanied by parents with free admission.

How to get there?

From the central railway station in Minsk and the central bus station in Minsk, there is just over 1 km to the stadium. For example, if you come to a football match, concert or other event, you do not need to take a taxi. If there are things, then they can be handed over to the pantry on the ground floor of the station (railway) and go directly to the stadium.

The navigator will easily lay out the keywords of Dinamo Stadium. You can also select options there. If you plan to take a taxi, be sure to use Yandex taxi or Uber. These services are generally reasonably priced. But keep in mind that after this event, there will certainly be increased demand, so the price may be above average or there will be problems with affordable cars.

From 2014 to 2018, the stadium was under reconstruction. Antique style is now adjacent to the modern glass dome. How wonderful it is for you to judge. But after the “redesign” the capacity fell from 34,000 to 22,246. Marketing in Belarusian, and this despite the fact that now the country has a visa-free regime up to 30 days for citizens of 80 countries.

Dinamo Stadium Infrastructure

After the reconstruction, a media center for 200 people was opened at the second level of the western stand. In the center there is a storage for photographic equipment (300 seats), two compartments for large photo agencies and newspapers, a photographic equipment repair workshop and a convenient press bar (40 seats).

To provide guests with mobile communications, experts installed 32 antennas under the dome of the stadium and more than 260 additional antennas inside. The system uses UMTS and GSM standards, supports LTE technology and provides users with a 4G network.

In total, there are 58 catering enterprises (northern, eastern, and southern) located along the perimeter of the stands. The stadium offers 137 parking spaces in the underground garage and more than 350 spaces along the fence and on neighboring streets.

History

The legendary Dinamo Stadium, whose history spans over 80 years, is one of the most impressive buildings in Minsk. In June 2018, it was reopened after a large-scale reconstruction and in October was awarded the highest classification category. In the summer of 2019, the stadium hosted the main events of the 2 European Games: opening and closing ceremonies, athletics tournament.

Dinamo Minsk Stadium is a unique building, familiar to every generation of Belarusian athletes and fans. The stadium was opened on June 12, 1934. Initially, the outdoor stands accommodated 10,000 people. This was the reason for the first reconstruction project (1937-1938) to increase capacity to 12,000 people.

In the early days of World War II, June 24 and 25, 1941, a German air raid set fire to Dinamo Stadium, destroying it almost to the base. Decades later, during the reconstruction, builders discovered a 76-mm wartime artillery shell at the stadium.

Post-war reconstruction began in 1946, the first football match took place on June 12, 1948. However, it took seven years to fully restore the stadium (1947-1954). The project architects were V. Wolfenzon, N. Collie, M. Parusnikov, N. Schmidt, S. Satunts and E. Sharkov.

In 2009, the stadium became a training venue and a home ground for Dinamo Football Club.

In 2008-2013, it was a training center for FC BATE, the country’s most successful football club. The stadium was also home to the BATE football club for three seasons, as the club took part in the group stage of the Champions League.
