Other information
Meteor Stadium is a full-fledged multifunctional sports complex in the former Dnepropetrovsk (in 2016 it was renamed the city of Dnipro). Until 2008, the stadium was the main arena of the Dnipro city football team. Significant events for the Dnipro football club and the entire city have been held at the stadium more than once. It was here that FC Dnipro twice became the champion of the USSR — in 1983 and 1988. The home games of this team in the Champions Cup were also held here. In 2005, Meteor hosted the qualifying match of the 2006 World Cup between the Ukrainian and Albanian teams. This match ended in a draw, while at the same time pleased the fan with an abundance of goals. The score is 2:2.
