Where to buy tickets?

Like many other major teams throughout Europe, Espanyol distributes its tickets in accordance with the opposition. You will pay the best shot for matches with Real Madrid and Barcelona, slightly less for matches with Malaga, Real Sociedad and Atlético Madrid, and the cheapest tickets are usually reserved for teams like Alaves, Granada and Las Palmas come in town.

You will also pay different prices depending on where on earth you want to sit, so corner tickets will range from 25 euros for games of the third level to 90 euros for the first level. 25 euros is the lowest price you will pay for any match, but there are prices that are suitable for almost any budget, if you are not too fussy about where you are sitting and which team you are watching against how Espanyol is opposed. For example, tickets for Superior for first-level matches will cost you 400 euros.

How to get Espanyol tickets

The club’s official website is a good place to start, as is their telephone reservation line. They have numerous partners through which you can buy tickets, for example, ticket office, ticket office, Turismo de Barcelona and others.

How to get there?

Train

It takes about ten hours to get to Barcelona from London by train. You will first travel to Paris, arriving at Gare de Nord, before switching to Gare de Lyon to complete your journey. Once in the city of Barcelona, you can use the excellent public transport to get to Cornell Riera Train Station, which is about ten minutes walk from the ground.

Bus

A train is the best way to get to the stadium if you are coming from central Barcelona, but there are bus options. For example, 94 bus stops near the stadium.

Car

A-2/E-90 runs right next to the stadium, so this is the main road you will look for if you go to the ground.

By plane

Barcelona El Prat Airport, the nearest airport to the stadium, is within walking distance. This is the second largest airport in Spain, so you will fly there if you ultimately go to Barcelona by air.

Taxi

A taxi from downtown Barcelona to the stadium will cost you around €20, but it will be more if the traffic is poor. The journey takes about 25 meters to complete the journey.

Parking near RCDE Stadium

The stadium boasts a little less than 3,300 parking spaces, which will not be enough for everyone who comes to watch the Espanyol games every week. Then you may well be limited to parking on the street, so watch out for any local restrictions.

History

The stadium is known as Estadi Cornellà-El Prat because it is located on the border of the municipalities of Cornellà and El Prat. The club hopes to find a buyer for the right of naming for the stadium. After the death of club captain Daniel Jarque, many suggested renaming the stadium in his honor. However, the club did not take a definite position on this issue.

Espanyol defeated Liverpool 3-0 in the first match of the stadium on August 2, 2009.

In July 2014, for reasons of sponsorship, the stadium was renamed Power8 Stadium. In January 2016, the club renamed the stadium the RCDE Stadium, ending sponsoring Power8.
