Rogers Place Seating Plan

Sky lounge

Half of the nightclub, premium lounge, Sky Lounge at Rogers Place is one of the most exciting and energetic recreational areas in hockey.

During the Oilers game, fans will enjoy two levels of seating from the upper eastern edge of the arena. Ticket holders will receive a waiting service onsite on the menu of set dishes and drinks.

After the game — while the rest of the arena leaves — the Sky Lounge will turn into one of the hottest city attractions. The area will turn from a gaming sports bar into a high-class nightclub and lounge. There is no better way to spend a late night in Edmonton than to enjoy the seats in the Sky Lounge.

Tables Lodges

Rows 2-3 are part of the Logs Table.

While some fans like to watch Oilers play from their kitchen table at dinner, others prefer to go out and enjoy the game live. With the new Loge tables, you can get them in both ways!

The tables of the Lodge have a semicircular shape and are located on the second level of the arena. Four chairs surround each table and look at the ice from one of the best viewpoints for comfortable viewing of both ends. As if the unique seating area and spectacular views were not enough, ticket holders will enjoy on-site service right at their desk.

If you want to stand up and stretch your legs, you will have access to the exclusive level of the bar with a full-service bar, which is located right at the tables.

Sportsnet Club

Sportsnet Club sports clubs, created specifically for the hockey fan, are located above the net on the east side of the arena — just above the bottom level. While these places can have a long look at the other end of the ice, they come with some of the best amenities of the stadium.

First, fans will have access to the private reception and bar directly above these places. The club reception has extra seating, a full-service bar and televisions with all the action from around the NHL.

When you finally get to your seats, you will notice that you will enjoy all-inclusive food and drinks. And as an extra drink, your free meals and drinks will be delivered straight to your place.

From Sportsnet Club, you can see videos similar to Oilers video games when they go to the peak of an odd person and set up a powerful game.

Club places

Sections 101-104 and 118-121 make up the highly desirable club seats at the lowest level of Rogers Place. Fans in these sections will find that all places are located within 25 rows of ice and have some of the best views on both ends of the ice.

In addition to the magnificent views, these places offer ticket holders additional luxury, including access to private club rooms located on the north and south sides of the arena. Halls offer fans upscale and exclusive meals and drinks, as well as private toilets.

O-Zone seats

Rows 23-25, Drink Rail are part of the O-Zone Seats.

While most club venues are located in the center of the ice or high above the action, the O-Zone club venues in Rogers Place were created for fans of purist hockey.Only ranks 23 and above in these sections are part of what is the most exclusive premium seat option for Oilers.

Fans will enjoy an increased viewing angle from the end where the Oilers shoot twice. Fans will also have near-instant access to the bar, located immediately behind these seats, in order to spend less time away from the scene. Finally, ticket holders will have access to the mezzanine club halls, which are ideal for relaxing between periods or until the game.

According to Vivid Seats, the oilmen have the seventh largest price of tickets in the NHL, an average of $149 per seat. This is significantly lower compared to previous seasons.

Although this is a beautiful new arena and a young, dynamic team, a family of four can easily cost a thousand dollars in just a couple of hours of entertainment. This is far from the price range of many hockey fans, and it is a tough sale for more than one or two games per year for many others.

Once inside Rogers Place, the presence of five floors of the hall helps to disperse people a little, although on the mezzanine floor (lower bowl), in the luxurious box and in the lobbies of the PCL Loge level they are underused, because you need to have a place in this area. Access. The main hall remains very busy between periods, and the upper bowl hall is also quite full.

Traffic in the main hall is generally good, with much smaller points than in the year when the stadium opened its doors. The hall of the upper bowl between the periods remains quite full, moving slowly but steadily.

The concern that has been heard more than once is that the queues in men’s and women’s toilets are long. On this issue, a number of complaints were heard from readers. If there are just not enough toilets to adequately serve the crowd, this can be a sore spot for people visiting Rogers Place for many years.

Where to eat?

Conventional concession stands have a relatively small choice to choose from, but each location has a slightly different menu, so look around before you stop at something. You will find all the expected options, from hot dogs to hamburgers, from fountains to bottled water. If you like hot dogs with more toppings than the average person can fit in your mouth, try the King Dog, which is topped with bacon, macaroni, cheese, salsa, and grated cheddar ($12).

Most concessions also have a few basic adult beverages if you are looking for a Molson Canadian glass or Coors Light ($12). As a rule, several premium options are available.

There are also several specialized booths around the hallway a few levels, which show interesting fare such as butyric chicken and chickpeas, pollen nachos (great!) Or smoked brisket sandwiches. You will also find four places for pizza 73 around the building.

If you are looking for something more special, there are a few more places to check. In the lower hall, accessible to fans in the lower bowl, there are two club zones, known as the Coventry Homes Club and the Northern Mezzanine Club, which have tables for those who like to gather between periods. Concessions in these areas have an updated menu with some more exotic choices. In the hall on the first floor, you will find the Molson Canadian fan terrace, located next to the ice rink, with a full-service bar and a large selection of dishes.

Loge PCL fans have access to two more options in River Valley Grill and Carvery. Curve Restaurant overlooking Ford Hall, the main entrance to Rogers Place, is also only available for booking on this floor.

Sky Lounge is a premium leisure club at the western end of the upper lounge, which has a special menu and on-site drink service. Directly below it is the Sportsnet Club, which also has premium chairs and a unique menu.

At the Ford Hall, before and after the games, you can visit the Canadian hockey house Molson, another option for a meal at the rink with a full list of food and drinks.

Food and drinks are expensive here, but generally very good.

Atmosphere

Rogers Place managers know how to make shows for fans. Just going to the rink is an experience. The arena is decorated with images from the Oilers History, reminding fans of Edmonton ‘s proud hockey tradition. To the west of the main entrance is a statue of Wayne Gretzky, who was moved here from Rexall Place when the Oilers moved. Through the glass behind the statue, you can see the Hall of Fame Oilers, which holds memorabilia from the Hockey Hall of Fame, located in Toronto, OH. There are also interviews before and after the game, which allows fans to carefully examine the head coach and players.

Regardless of whether you enter the Ford Hall through the main entrance, in the block south of the main building of Rogers Place or through the main doors, this is a great place to gather fans before you go through the gate to the arena itself. Ford Hall is open all year round, so people visiting the Edmonton Center can stop by and check it out.

The main hall is quite wide and several floors high, which creates a feeling of spaciousness and roominess. From inside the seat bowl, you also get a feeling of spaciousness, from wide seats (19”-22” depending on where you sit) and enough legroom, to a significant rise from the ice level to the top of the upper bowl. However, the places are still not felt so far from the gameplay, because the upper levels are laid out on the lower levels, which brings them closer to the middle of the arena, giving even the upper deck viewers the feeling that they are “right on top of the game.

The energy in the stands is also good. As the game continues, ambient sound levels indicate a constant hum of excitement, which can quickly flare up when a goal is scored, a fight begins, or something exciting is happening.

Neighborhood

Rogers Place is located on the northern tip of downtown Edmonton. To the west of the rink is the main campus of McEwan University. If you stick to these areas before and after the games, you should have no problems.

To the north of the arena is a much less desirable part of the city. Central McDougall is not the worst part of the city, but you may not want to be alone after dark in the area. In fact, it is hoped that the construction of Rogers Place at this location will help to elevate the area, so that it may improve over the next few years.

Two blocks east and south of the arena is Sir Winston Churchill Square, the central gathering place of the city, on three sides framed by the Edmonton Town Hall, the Alberta Art Gallery, the Winspier Music Center and the Edmonton main office. Public library. Very good place to check.

The Grand Villa Casino is located in the southeast corner of Rogers Place, so patrons of Rogers Place can stop by and try their luck at slot machines or board games before or after watching Oilers.

The casino also has two restaurants that complement your restaurants right in the main building. Match Eatery and Public House has the atmosphere of a classic British pub, while Atlas Steak + Fish is a more upscale place, rumored that some Oilers players have been playing games after games.

If you want to eat or drink before or after the game, you have a lot of good options just a few blocks from the Rogers Center.

You can always try Molson Canadian Hockey House right in Ford Hall if you want to eat right at the main gate, or in the Curve at the Loge PCL level as soon as the gate opens.

Across the street to the southwest of Rogers Place is the Mercer Tavern, where you can dine in the relaxed atmosphere of the pub.

If you’re tuned to a steak, try Chop Steakhouse. One of several Chop franchises in Canada is a good choice to meet your needs for the world-famous Albert beef.

Another good pub option is Underground Tap and Grill, located just a block from the central LRT station. Metro offers 72 beer taps, including the largest selection of beers brewed in the province of Alberta, in the province.

If you like Italian food, there are a couple of good options. Pazzo Pazzo is a traditional Italian restaurant with all the dishes you expect to find. Just a couple of blocks from the hotel you will also find a factory for the production of old spaghetti in Edmonton, which also offers a complete Italian menu, including nine different variants of spaghetti.

Next door to the old spaghetti factory is the Haweli Restaurant, which serves Indian cuisine. If you are looking for something sharper and more exotic, this is the place to try.

Bell Tower’s Joey Restaurant is another great option that quickly fills up before the games, but offers great food.

In fact, it is just a scratch on the surface. There are many, many other places nearby, from Harvey to Subway, Boston Pizza, Japanese Mikado, Sofra Authentic Turkish cuisine and so on.

The fans

Oil industry fans are pretty tough. During the decade preceding the Rogers Place discovery, Oilers fans sold out every home game. In the new barn, “Oilers” are now gathering more than 1,500 fans per game and selling again every night.

The crowd is excited at all appropriate times, showing that they are involved in action, and they are pleased to be around, in the stands or in the hall, without any anti-social behavior. Many, if not most of the fans are decorated with orange and blue oils, proudly displaying their dedication to their team.

Additionally

In addition to the hockey game, there are plenty of other things in Rogers Place.

For fans who might drink too many drinks, the “Assigned Driver” program is available. This is a great idea to see elsewhere.

Fans throughout the building are provided with free Wi-Fi access, which allows fans to live on Twitter, check their email and otherwise interact with the World Wide Web on the spot.

Oiler Mascot Hunter helps to entertain fans in the arena. It is named after the original owner of Oilers “Wild Bill” Hunter and looks like a Canadian lynx, a wildcat, fairly common in the Edmonton area.

The Room of the Hall of Fame of Oilers is located right in front of the building and is visible through the glass fans walking along the sidewalk in front of Rogers Place. Guided tours of the room allow fans to get even closer acquainted with all the interesting things in this space, including the recruit form of Wayne Gretzky and many other pieces of Oilers History.

In the northeast corner of Rogers Place is the Edmonton Downtown public arena.

This arena, accessible from the corridors inside the building, is currently home to the men’s and women’s hockey teams of Makawan University. It also serves as Oilers’ and Oil Kings training ice, and it is also available as a public ice rink.

There are televisions throughout the building, so even if you move away from your seat for a few moments during the game, you will probably still be able to watch what is happening, no matter where you are.

Speaking of the video, Rogers Place shows one of the biggest scoreboards in the NHL (and the NBA, if they played in Edmonton). With a width of 14 meters and a height of 11 meters, it dominates the space above the rink and provides a spectacular image from all sides.

Around the halls are several interactive touches, such as a pair of full-size Oilers hangers with which visitors can take pictures.

The Oilers Store can be found in several places throughout the building, giving fans the opportunity to stock up on all Oilers clothing and souvenirs that they can wear.

If you’re a fan of art, Rogers Place has some special pieces for you. Paul Ford Hall is decorated with a giant round mosaic called Tsa Tsa Ke K’e (Iron Foot Place) by local artist Alex Janvier. In the northwestern square, adjacent to the MacEwan LRT station, there is a large sculpture called “Essential Tree” (Real Tree): an artistic group in Berlin. On the northeast square is a red round sculpture by Saskatchewan painter Douglas Bentham called Skater’s Arch. And right above the main entrance to the Downtown Community Arena is a work that combines sculpture and painting called “9 figures in motion with a puck” by local artist Al Henderson.

As an added bonus, you will also find mobile charging stations in the Rogers Mobility low battery room.

Rogers Place is the first NHL rink in Canada to receive LEED-Silver certification (leadership in energy and environmental design). This makes it one of the most environmentally friendly arenas in North America.

History

Rogers Place officially opened on September 8, 2016.

The first-ever hockey game played in the arena showed that Edmonton Oil Kings will fight the Red Reiners in the WHL match on September 24, 2016. Trey Fix-Volanski scored the first ever goal in the arena with a score of 0:22 the second period, when the Oil Kings won the game in a shootout, celebrating the teams’ first victory in the new building.

The Oilers played their first game on October 12, 2016 against their rivals, Calgary Flames. Before the game, there was a ceremony before the game with the participation of the former Oilers Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier, where a statue of Gretzky was opened outside the arena. Patrick Maron scored the first goal in the NHL in the arena, as the Oilers continued to beat Flame 7-4; Earn your first victory in the building. In the first season of the Oilers in the arena, they reached the playoffs for the first time after an 11-year drought in the playoffs. The first playoff game was played on April 12, 2017, when the “Oilers” in overtime lost to San Jose Sharks with a score of 3:2. Two days later, the “Oilers” won their first victory in the playoffs in the arena, winning “Sharks” with a score of 2:0.
