37-year-old Canadian fighter Chad Anheliger has repeatedly achieved success in tournaments of some local mixed martial arts organizations and was the champion of the Rise FC league in two weight categories at once. The year before last, he decided to test himself in the UFC and because of this, he damaged his statistics. Now he has one defeat for two wins.
His peer from the United States, Cody Gibson, has exactly the same ratio between wins and losses. The difference is that the American has been a UFC fighter since 2014, but with interruptions.
Both fighters like to work in a stand, and Anheliger prefers close combat to keep an opponent at a distance. Usually, the Canadian fights in the stalls, only realizing that his opponent does not shine in the fight. Gibson used to actively pursue taking the fight to the ground, but in recent years has avoided such tactics.
