Ramiz Brahimaj, an American fighter, made his debut in mixed martial arts in 2014. Initially, he competed in smaller promotions before moving on to the more prestigious LFA league. After a string of impressive performances, he was eventually invited to join the UFC in 2020.
Brahimaj is a skilled practitioner of jiu-jitsu and should not be underestimated in the grappling department. His ability to capitalize on any opportunity for a submission was evident even during his time in LFA. His fighting style is straightforward. He excels in takedowns and ground fighting.
The matchmakers for the tournament wisely took this into consideration and did not pair him with a dangerous striker. Instead, they chose to match him up with American fighter Mickey Gall, who also specializes in jiu-jitsu and grappling. However, Gall has a history of losing to strikers and has not won a fight in his last three attempts.
