The current WBA featherweight world champion, Nick Ball, will defend his title in a fight with challenger Ronny Rios. Before that, Ronny Rios had never fought outside the United States. It’s his first trip to Europe.
Rios turned 34 years old. He’s a featherweight veteran. This will be his third attempt to take the champion’s belt. Before that, he lost in championship matches in 2017 and 2022. He tried to become the WBC, WBA, and IBF champion. He hasn’t been in the ring much lately. This is probably his last attempt to become a champion.
Ball is a young champion. He won this title in June. Ball won by a judicial decision in a tough fight. This will be his first title defense. So far, Ball remains undefeated as a professional boxer.
