To participate in a competition among jockeys not only professionals of this business are allowed, but also any amateur who properly prepares a horse and, naturally, will make a contribution for participating in such a competition. Such amateurs are called by the term Amateur. In the starting and finishing minutes of a race in front of their name is the prefix Mr or Mrs, which underlines their special status.
