Cracking Pace

In each race there is a favorite. However, not always such athletes lead during the whole race and not always they are the first to actively take action on a track. But those athletes who start at a fairly high pace are called Cracking Pace.

In other words, the term Cracking Pace refers to the leaders of a race, which from the first meters of a distance begin to act actively and strive for a victory.
