Dead Heat
Under what conditions does Dead Heat set in?
How to calculate the sum of the division of a win at Dead Heat?
In which sports is Dead Heat possible?
Dead Heat is the condition for dividing a win when determining several winners at the same time.
In some sports (for example, golf or horse racing) there is a variant of determining several winners. In golf, this happens quite often when several players have made the same number of strokes, and in races – when two horses simultaneously came to the finish. It’s worth noting that this condition works only when additional conditions for a victory aren’t defined. For example, if you bet on Milan in Serie A in football and it scores the same number of points with Inter, one winner will still be announced, because there are a lot of additional criteria that distribute the places in the championship (goal difference, personal meetings, lot).
How is the winning split calculated? The calculation scheme is simple: the amount of a bet is divided by the number of players who have completed a tournament with the same result, and is multiplied by the bet odds of your player.
Let’s take the most common for Dead Heat sport, namely golf. Two players, among whom there is an athlete, to whom you bet, and a player your friend made a bet, won a tournament with the same number of hits. The odds on a winning of “your” athlete were 1.5, and on a friend’s player – 1.63. You both put 10 conventional units. This means that you will receive 10/2X1.5 = 7.5 conventional units, and your friend – 10/2X1.63 = 8.15 conventional units.
