H (Home)

H is the abbreviation common in the bookmaker sphere, which can mean both the word “home” (in sport) and “horse” (in races).

The term home refers to the home team (the team that plays at home), to the bookmaker’s odds of winning the home team or to the home team’s winnings, but when writing home, it is sometimes shortened to “H” (with a capital letter) or replaced by Digit “1”. The victory of the guests is denoted by the number “2” (or away), and the draw by the letter “x” (or draw).

In turn, a horse is simply a “horse” (stallion, horse), but when writing a horse it is usually shortened to “h” (with a small letter).
