Handicap Races

Handicap Races are a kind of races, when each horse attaches a different additional weight.

This weight is calculated based on the rating and previous achievements of the horse. So, on the favorites hang more weight, and on outsiders – less. This is done in order to equalize the chances of all horses to succeed.

The owner of the horse can challenge the decision of the judges if he finds that too much weight has been bet on his or her animal. In the case of insoluble disputes, the owner is allowed to remove the horse from the race.
