Joker

Joker means any team or sportsman who, at least theoretically, can win the upcoming competition.

In fact, this concept has several meanings, but on the whole they are all close enough to each other in meaning. A joker is often called a team, about which it is not known much and it is not clear how they can play. That is, this term can be applied to almost any participant in sports competitions. Also called jokers are the strengths of teams or individual players who helped them win at the last minute.

What could it be? Joker can be called an attacker, who came out for the last 5 minutes and scored the winning goal. Or any other sportsman, who gathered with forces at the last moment and won in the end in an unpredictable game.
