Knockdown
What is Knockdown in sports?
In which sports can you see Knockdown?
Knockdown (crushing blow) is a kick, after which the boxer somehow touched the floor of the ring with the third point of support. This can be any part of the body, except for the feet on which the boxer is held in the ring.
After a knockdown, the referee starts countdown to ten. It does not matter how light or strong the blow was. If after the countdown the fighter did not get up, then a knockout is fixed. If the sportsman is knocked down outside the ring, he is given 20 seconds to return.
The exit from a knockdown is carried out when the fighter returns to a clear vertical position and is ready to continue the fight. In other sports, slang knockdown can mean a piece of playing time, during which one team owned the advantage.
