Stake
What does stake mean in the context of bookmakers?
Why are all players different?
Stake — the amount of the bet or money that you give the bookmaker for making one of his wagers.
The exact amount for which the wager will be made. The more money you put, the more you can get in the long run. Of course, here everything depends on the odds that determine how much your amount will be multiplied in the case of a bet passing. Beginners and amateurs rarely play big money, while for experienced handicappers this is common.
Sending a bet to the draw, you can count on three possible outcomes: winning, loss or refund when the event is canceled or the bookmaker himself interrupts it for some reason.
